| Difference between Flat Bar and Steel Plate |
* The main difference for both of flat bar and steel plate is about technology craft. The flat bar steel belongs to structural steel such as angle bar and steel channel, etc. with molding method of hot rolled and cold drawn. Its hot rolled flat bar is width with max 150mm, and thickness with max 60mm. However flat bar’s edge is circular arc.
* The flat bar steel is widely used. It looks like a slab cut from a common steel plate, but it is actually hot rolled. The edge of flat steel is called rolling edge. Rolling edge guarantees the strength of its edge.
| What is 304 Stainless Steel Flat Bar |
Stainless Steel 304 Flats are made with a blend between chromium and nickel and minimal additions of Carbon. The austenitic structure of the SS Flat bars gives them superior toughness, even down at cryogenic temperatures. The SS Flat Bars don’t require Intermediate annealing and can be severely deep drawn after welding. The applications of the SS Flats are widened by its ability to get work-hardened to high strength levels whilst retaining a useful level of ductility and toughness. They also offer great formability and welding properties. With great welding properties, the SS Patti also avoids carbide precipitation during welding process. SS Patti that we produce also has excellent inter-granular corrosion resistance. All our products go through these tests before deliveries to eliminate any manufactural defaults. Some of the Tests that our products undergo include Positive Material Identification – PMI Testing, Mechanical Testing Such as Tensile of Area, Micro and Macro Test, Hardness Test, etc.
